Fans of the Sex Pistols know “God Save The Queen” came with charging controversy. Accused of striking Queen Elizabeth II and the monarchy, the single was banned and blasted. A week after “God Saved the Queen” was cancelled, the Sex Pistols showed up on a boat to the Queen’s Silver Jubiliee to serenade Her Majesty. Despite that being a rocky boat ride as you can imagine, like the group’s manager said, there’s no such thing as bad publicity. Reaching No. 1 on the NME charts and selling 150,000 copies of the record a day, our new weekend tee features the cover’s artwork with an oversized, lived-in look.
